The City of Angels witnessed widespread festivities after the Dodgers won a thrilling seven-game World Series championship. Supporters worldwide united with local residents in celebration, marking the first time in a quarter-century that a franchise has achieved consecutive championships.

Victory Parade Attracts Enormous Crowds

Los Angeles area celebrations included a procession through the city center on Monday morning, a reserved-seating event at the team's home stadium, and impromptu gatherings across the city.

Social media videos depict countless of Angelenos flooding city center avenues, many carrying homemade signs and team flags. The squad was seen riding high on a open-top bus through the crowds, hoisting the championship trophy high.

“My focus is already about the third time we’re going to achieve this,” Shohei Ohtani remarked through an interpreter.

The parade route concluded at the stadium, where the team emerged to Kendrick Lamar’s “Not Like Us,” with the renowned DJ providing music and the artist cruising a light blue vintage Cadillac around the field.

Pre-Parade Festivities and Player Reactions

Celebrations started prior to the parade, with supporters setting off flares in the streets of the city center on Sunday night.

The World Series MVP, awarded the World Series’ Most Valuable Player, commented directly about the win.

“We refuse to lose,” Yamamoto stated. “I adore this team. I love Los Angeles.”

Varied Responses and City Unity

However, Mark Walter received a less warm welcome at the celebration. Recordings from the event appear to show Walter taking the stage to a mix of cheers and jeers, with jeers interrupting his address.

The World Series served as a positive moment in what has been a trying year for the city. An approximate 225,000 people attended to the championship parade last year, and according to Dodgers player one athlete, supporters this year demonstrated as much if not more enthusiasm.

“I feel like it’s almost double from last year,” he remarked. “The supporters are incredible. It’s so awesome to be a part of this.”
