The Perfect Pocket Monster Tales: Z-A Super Form Based on Your Zodiac Sign
The return of Super Forms in Pokémon Legends: Z-A has sparked immense excitement within the fandom. Starting with the one-by-one unveiling of fresh additions ahead of the game's launch, to trainers developing firm opinions on the full lineup of Mega Evolutions, there's plenty for fans to look forward to.
Given numerous of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive appearances that emphasize their traits, one idea naturally: How can link this with astrology? The following is inspired by a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.
Aries – Super Camerupt
Honestly, Houndour's evolution was nearly chosen for this fire sign, as both are the Super Form and astrological sign that inspire the most fear. However, a Super Houndoom comes across as constantly angry, which isn't typical of the Aries vibe, renowned for being playful, cheerful, and impulsive. That's why Aries much more similar to Mega Camerupt, which solely spews lava when provoked. Stay on the good side of both and enjoy a strong partner; if you cross them, prepare to get burned.
The Bull – Super Heracross
Similar to a loyal Taurus, the steadfast Heracross species, whether in its regular and Super Form, has aided numerous players in Legends: Z-A. Though dependable, both the creature and a Taurus are also Fighting types, and – whether it's their trainer or a firm belief – will stand up for their position unwaveringly. The thing about Mega Heracross that recalls most of my Bull-sign companions, though, is its unashamed passion for snacks. Many previous official descriptions note their fondness for tasty tree sap and how it employs its horn to hoard it all, which is true Bull-sign vibe.
The Twins – Super Medicham
Observe this total queen. It's impossible to convince me this Pokémon is not the life of every party, providing an endless fountain of chatter to anyone who wants to listen. Much like an captivating, gregarious Twins, it's incredibly simple to envision Mega Medicham captivating an entire Wild Zone with their tales. Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to predict an enemy’s future actions, which sounds quite similar to a people-smart Twins.
Cancer – Super Manectric
Cancer is commonly regarded as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign famous for frequently becoming absorbed in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to completely control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. It is also known for its capability to make a storm cloud over its very head – and if there’s one thing a Crab is likely to do, it’s rain on their good time.
The Lion – Mega Starmie
Oh, did you assume I was going to pick the lion Pokémon for the king of the stars? Besides the reality that it would be much too on the nose, Leo is clearly Mega Starmie, the diva whose legs just went viral for being too fabulous (or terrifying, based on your preference). Players couldn’t look away from the purple starfish, and that’s precisely the same energy a Leo offers to the scene. This Pokémon is also rumored to be broadcasting signals from its center out into space, and it’s just like a Leo to be putting on a show, even if for extraterrestrials.
Virgo – Super Victreebel
The always-ready and constantly-worried Virgo is ideally represented in Mega Victreebel, the Super Form with perpetual digestive issues. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a strategy.
The Scales – Mega Audino
Observe this sweet, sensitive creature, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the peace, there are many Scales who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. Though, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to worry more about others.
The Scorpion – Mega Banette
Banette is a creature with a surprisingly sad origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through sheer resentment and vowed retribution on its former owner. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.
Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha
Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a show. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “silly small entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can think of.
The Goat – Mega Absol
Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Goat, who tends to consistently think they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.
The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
Aloof air sign Water Bearer is possibly the non-flame placement that is most like a fire sign – its counterpart is the Lion, and there are numerous jokes about Sagittarius and Aquarius being chaotic partners in crime. Mega Chandelure’s dual Spirit/Flame typing matches seamlessly with this, and the Super Form's general daunting aura is also very Water Bearer. If you weren’t already convinced, the Mega’s description says it “draws in hatred and transforms it into power.” If that doesn’t perfectly {encaps
