Given numerous of the Mega Evolutions showcasing distinctive appearances that emphasize their traits, one idea naturally: How can link this with astrology? The following is inspired by a mix of intuition, common zodiac traits, and individual observations.

Aries – Super Camerupt

Medicham’s Pokédex entry also mentions its capacity to predict an enemy’s future actions, which sounds quite similar to a people-smart Twins.

Cancer – Super Manectric

Cancer is commonly regarded as the most sensitive sign of the astrological wheel, a passionate sign famous for frequently becoming absorbed in their feelings. According to the Pokédex, Mega Evolution fills the Pokémon with a “huge quantity of energy, but it's too much for Manectric to completely control,” which seems a lot like a typical Cancer emotional outburst. The zodiac symbol famous for being charmingly judgmental is clearly reflected throughout this Pokémon’s entire evolutionary chain, from a perpetually shocked expression like a Maiden when you tell them you lack a retirement plan, to its inverted face that’s similar to the symbol a Maiden sends to the chatroom when all says they want to “be spontaneous” rather than creating a strategy.

The Scales – Mega Audino

Observe this sweet, sensitive creature, who employs the feelers on its auditory organs to tell how others are feeling by their heartbeat. Always empathetic – occasionally to a fault – and trying to keep the peace, there are many Scales who would likely appreciate Mega Audino’s skills. Though, to be frank, it would likely just cause them to worry more about others.

The Scorpion – Mega Banette

Banette is a creature with a surprisingly sad origin: Abandoned as a toy, it gained sentient through sheer resentment and vowed retribution on its former owner. According to the official info, Mega Evolution, “increases its spitefulness.” That seems exactly like several conversations I’ve had with my scary Scorpion friends. A Scorpion adores cosmic justice and comeuppance, making them the perfect match with Mega Banette.

Sagittarius – Super Hawlucha

Each Super Hawlucha and Archers are always putting on a show. Being a Sagittarius personally, the amount of times I’ve called myself some version of a “silly small entertainer” is innumerable. The showiest and most attention-seeking Mega Evolution, its description even notes how it “poses to show off its power.” I would do the exact same thing if I had a Super Form, making Super Hawlucha the most apt Sagittarius match I can think of.

The Goat – Mega Absol

Were you aware that a Super Absol has the power to foresee disasters in advance? That gives the exact same vibe as a Goat, who tends to consistently think they’re correct. The thing is, similar to a prophetic Super Absol, they often are. It’s also the absolute first Mega Evolution that players meet in Legends: Z-A – just like a Capricorn to join the beginning of the Super Form craze.

The Water Bearer – Super Chandelure
